Week 58

HI hellllllo everybody

Well this week has been pretty rough. Umm we have no idea what happened but out of nowhere everybody that was willing became not. SO, we spent a lot of time finding and searching.. and searching.. and then some more, and almost everyone that we talked to again said, "Ayaw la. Catolico kami." (just don’t. We're Catholic) ya, you and the rest of the Philippines! Hahah, y'all need to stop following the traditions of your fathers ALMA 9:16-17.

But in our finding... we found someone super cool! We go to this bread shop cuz we be hungry, we start speaking waray and this Filipino comes from out of the corner and starts speaking PURE English! Not saying "Wash your name" or "watch your name" but saying "Do you guys want something to drink too?" WHAT?!?!? Mind blown! I told him a was wigging out to. His name is Mo. HE moved to America when he was 10 and just came back last year to be with his family. He is totally interested and wants us to come back to! He is form Vegas though... but from what I have heard the church is actually very strong there! Well it better be! It’s like Sodom and Gomora! Excuse the spelling :) So we are excited to go back on Thursday after we get back from Tacloban. We have our Mission Tour tomorrow and we are all super psyched!! :) 

We also did witness some really cool miracles too though (sister Ralph keeps telling me to stop being so optimistic...) I see all the little things as wonders! SO we have anew investigator and we sharing about the Book of Mormon. Her name is Maricel. Half way she was saying, "there can be no more bible. I believe only in the bible. Ayaw la sisters." BOOM! 2NEPHI29..... she is now in the joseph smith testimony.... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring them back into the fold! Another of our investigators punted us.... BUT! found out her brother is a member!!! He was baptized when he was 10.. and he has changed a lot since then. See, it is very common here to be gay. We met him as he was making his Miss Gay costume pageant. When we asked him while we were talking about the restoration through Joseph Smith, "Does Heavenly Father want us to be lost or confused?" He answered yes.... I was like oh please bring the spirit back we gotta fix this NOW... but he continues...."Because if we aren't we won't know where to find the truth." YEEEEESSS! Right on ya mate! 

But ya it's been a pretty fun week! We still have some that are progressing... and more that are not, but Satan wants us to feel bad, SO I WONT LET HIM GET US DOWN! keepin that optimism up.... you know how we do :) HAhahah, But I love you all and hope that you have another great and fantastic week!
