Week 48 Continued

Week 48 continued

WASSSSSUUUPPPP

Hello everybody, we were told that we get to have Pday today, so I am now back at the computer emailing y'all :)

So we made it into Tacloban yesterday morning.... It is completely different. Everything is literally gone. It is crazy!. I wasn't able to find Brett while there though, missed him. But I was able to catch some people from Eastridge 7th ward and meet the VERY first missionary sent to the Philippines! Everything is moving along though! Which is great! And they have so much help from volunteer workers in the church! 2 of them are RMs that were sent home up in Manila because there wasn’t room in the Philippines! SO it was great to see Sister Robinson and Sister Somera again!

After that we had a meeting and reassignments... I am back in my last Area of course and with Sister Miguel. She is new and was assigned in Angeles Mission during the typhoon. We hope that the work will be great and ready for harvest. We hear that the Catarman stake had 16 baptisms while we were gone! So I bet all is well!

Everything else is pretty set! There is very few internet places now here in Catarman zone, so there are a bunch of missionaries here waiting to get on now, so I will go! I love y'alls HEAPS!!!!!

SISTER BRAY

Week 48

Maayong Hapon... or Magandang Hapon.... or Maupay nga Kulop....

SOoooo I am OFFICIALLY going back to Tacloban now! President called last Wed night and told me. I am now up in Manila and waiting until 4am to catch a flight to go back...... I have mixed emotions about it all really. I feel like I am not ready and little bit angry and as well sad. When I say angry, I mean that because I really didn’t want to go back to my last area. It was terrible to say the least. But, the Lord may have strengthened the people there since I have been gone... maybe they are ready and maybe the ward is now ready to move forward. When I say sad....  I mean it. I loved this area so much! Pajo ward is seriously like the best ward ever! I'm talkin Zion....... We were going to have 12 baptisms this net cycle. I trust the Elders enough though that I know that they will take good care of them. The work is amazing though really and I have learned so much from serving in Cebu East....

I learned further how to be humble. I learned that I needed to rely on the Lord more than anything. I learned how the power of prayer really works. And that fasting is not just something we do once a month(if that), but that it is truly to draw us closer, and to truly help us. As we sacrifice those two meals, which are in no way near to as much as the 40 days that Christ gave, we receive revelation, answers to prayers, help, guidance, peace, love, every possible emotion needed to help us make to the end! Heavenly Father really did bless me these two cycle(3 and half months) that I was able to spend in Cebu East. I have never felt more like a missionary or closer to feeling Heavenly Fathers happiness for all His anak. I wish I could stay... but If I am needed back, you gotta go back. Maybe it is time to harvest :) I don't know, but that would be amazing! I pray that I may gain the love I once had for the waray2x language back.. kasi, bisaya na ako :) Hahah, so I hope all will be well :)

I love you all so much and hope that all is continuing with each of your lives! I love yalls heaps! Keep it straight mga G's And remember, the Lord cares for each and every one of you... He also wants to talk with you. " A Man is his strongest when he is on his knees. " I testify that that is true and you will find more strength and feel more loved than you could ever imagine. I love you all!

It was our candidate Sammy's birthday too! So it was a super great day for her!  LOVE HER!

Week 46

Maayong Hapon sa Tanan :)

Weeeeeeeell, it has been another great week! and especially today! We got to go to the TEMPLE!!!! I love that place so much! It was seriously one of the greatest times I think I have been too. We will leave it at, the Father really does know us best :) I also saw a member from my last ward there! Which geographically,  Catarman in Northern Samar is very far from Lahug Cebu. So it was great to catch up and to see how the ward is doing and to hear the work is still going on and that they even have baptisms! So great!

This Saturday we have a baptism! Her name is Sammy Duero! AND ITS HER BIRTHDAY TOO!!!!!!! So it will be that much greater!! She turns 16, good year! She is so excited too! Her cousin is James, from the picture I sent last week! We teach them together. They are a part of that big group of kids that came and joined the lesson :) The Lord has funny ways in showing us who is prepared :) It has really been so great to see all these people come so far and growing so much! I continue to pray for the ones we teach that are still waiting for a sign. Hopefully they will realize soon how many they have already received and take the jump of faith and "go swimming" :)

We found out more about Tacloban Mission as well. They are sending people back every week. I am again uncertain of how I feel about it... but I find something really comforting, the Lord knows exactly where we are needed to be in life. He knows us inside and out. I trust He knows where I am needed and I will follow where He needs me. Who knows, blessings just like the ones I have received since being here could happen :) I sure hope so! Because this area has certainly become my very favorite! I will forever cherish the time I have spent here!

Well, I love you all! Hope you all have a great one!

PS... how many people can you fit in a car?? roughly 18 :) joke  lang

Week 44

Hella Errabody!

Like I said In the last email, we went to the temple this last week on a temple tour. We thought it was just going to be the original 8 that were planned... It ended up being around 30 all together! SUPER COOL! I will attach the picture! It was such a cool experience and to see how people felt just being on the grounds of the temple! So many kept saying they just wanted to go inside. Out of curiosity and how happy they felt. It was awesome!

This week has been pretty great though! Minus the part of being sick basically all week! I have a sipon(Cold), and something is up with my stomach. I am on some meds that semi work. Buuuut, if next week the emails say, "Life in the hospital" or something witty with Grey's Anatomy, I think you understand what happened.

This week I also got a phone call during a lesson from President Tanner. Rare. So I left the room and took it, wondering if it was him saying he regretted letting us go on the now bawal temple tours or if it was about having to be admitted. It was about Tacloban. They are starting to send us back now! At first it was just going to be 2 zones in Leyte. Sogod and Maasin Zone. And it was going to be just 3 of us that got reassigned in Cebu East. Well, They are now sending back 12 of the 18 that are here in Cebu East. I am staying, which  am kinda glad about, I love this ward and I wanna finish Sister Mahinay's training! But all together, it's a great thing to hear. That all is up and running now in mostly all areas and that life is progressing! Such a blessing.

Well, I love you all again and hope all will continue in being great! LOVES YOUS
